madmax Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I'm wanting to install an anti-theft kill switch in the ignition lead. Does anyone know what color the wire from the steering harness might be? Originally I was removing the 60 amp starter fuse in the engine compartment, but it seems to erase something in the ecm as it is harder to start when I put it back in?? If I leave the fuse alone, it starts fine. Thanks, Max Quote
92turboLE Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 The fat yellow wire is the crank power... otherwise there is a fat pibnk wire which is ignition power so tyhat nothing will get power with that circuit open. either would work fine... just be careful cutting apart wires like that... makes the car hard to sell if someone finds out. NOTE: those are the colors on a 92 although i belive they are the same for the 88 - Justin Quote
