GTP091 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I'm very seriously getting a gas mig welder soon. I want to fab up Stainless headers and exhaust system and some Aluminum suspension parts, among other things. The local retail outlets are rediculously priced for raw materials. I've also checked out a few metal suppliers in my area and they don't seem that much better. Does any body have any suggestions on where to get decent priced metal in western Canada?? I live in the Okanagan (Kelowna) and travel to Vancouver once in awhile. Online webstores would be ok to as long as they are in Canada (customs kicks my ass). Quote
mra32 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 you might wanna check out summit for individual bends: http://www.summitracing.com/search/Part-Type/Exhaust-Pipes-Individual-Bends/ Are you able to get summit without paying a hefty charge? There also might be a machine shop around that has a bender. They might be able to give you a nice price. Quote
GTP091 Posted October 15, 2010 Author Report Posted October 15, 2010 Machine Shop... I never thought of that. Thanks for the idea. Summit Im not so sure about. $15- $30 for one piece doesn't seem reasonable. Quote
