mjmich
I just got my car back from the garage (timing belt done) and now i notice an occasional erradic idle with a tendancy to stall when in drive or reverse stopped at a light. Aside from plugs or wires, what could be causing this?
Robby1870
Are you gettin any codes? Could be the IAC.........
mfewtrail
might want to try an idle relearn if the battery was unhooked for an extended amount of time(over so many minutes...which it probably was).. http://www.60degreev6.com/index.php?p=pages&pid=74 when you crank the car up initially does the idle shoot way up and fluxiate a great deal, sometimes low, sometimes high? without doing an idle relearn, it will usually idle rough and stall occasionally. If that doesn't work for you, then check the IAC(idle air control valve) as Robby suggested, it's used to sustain a proper idle.
mjmich
I get a random misfire code, thinking its one of the plug wires arcing. I'm going to try the idle relearn, thanks for the link.
