series I 3800 V6

i told u guys how i losty my w-body n that i might be gainin an h body (olds 88 delta) n it has the series I 3800 V6 in it is this the same found in the w-bodys??

werent you getting an 87 Delta 88 they didnt have the 3800 in them just the older 3.8s Vin 3 88+ vin C's are 3800. The 3800 in the Regal's have differnernt intake manifolds.

i talked to my uncle today n he told me it was a 1990 delta with the 3800 series 1

for performance sites there arent much out there for the S1 3800

I have a Series I 3800 in my LeSabre and there's not much out there for them just a few trinkets but the Series II is another story. They make all sorts of goodies for them, cams, valvetrain , headers, etc. From what I've been able to find the series II is roughly the same size externally and looks about the same but almost nothing is interchangeable between the 2 motors. They do share the same bellhousing configuration. Check out Thrasher Performance and Intense Racing for starters.

As far as I know, the Series III is "drive-by-wire" and has a few electronic upgrades to distinguish it from a Series II. I don't think there are any major engine components that are different between the Series II and Series III.
