Aaron
From the shop. we paid 2,641.13$, and owe them another 175. so not cheap here's the final list of whats done: -New Crankshaft -New rod bearings -bored 30 over, forged alum pistons, new rings -decked heads full head rebuild, new valves, new guides, new seals -new t-belt and pulleys so basically a full rebuild. i am semi happy so far. dissapointed that they didnt paint the block, or even clean the cam/valve covers. and they didnt straighten my oil pan. also i need to prime the blocks internals, this is gonna be a big PITA. it should be in in about a week or

J
goodluck Aaron, Hell paint the blick right now jsut tape it all off, do it right before ya go to b ed so you can work on it in the morning. That'd be cool to see a dohc with a painted block. Again good luck Later Jay
MommyTaz022200
My block is painted, imo it looks pretty cool and it really helps when trying to make sure you got a leak fixed. I don't know how hard it is to do tho, since the machine shop did mine. Good luck tho. The wires can be tricky. I labeled mine when I took them off the engine, and knowing where they go only makes it halfway easier. Fitting your hand in the little space that's left for some of them is the other half. Bolt_Crank
plug as many of the wires in as you can, before it's 100% in and is still hanging off the hoist. ....unless on the W's the engine goes in the other way, in which case, I don't know
