Euro Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Picked up a High Performance Pontiac last night, and saw they had a blurb about the Indianapolis Mecum auction back in May. 96 Pontiacs sold, a Mecum record at 1 place...but anyway, the lowest selling Pontiac was our friend the 88 TGP Pikes Peak car. Sold for...$2,600. So much for the PO's ebay asking price Quote
White93z34 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Geeeeze. That's gotta hurt. Well I wouldn't pay NEAR as much with it ripped apart from how it used to be either. Quote
stockgp Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 yeah kenny "tore that thing apart." and by that i mean basically returned the interior to stock tgp. i think that's even the e brake pedal from my tgp that i sold him Quote
occupant Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 That is a gorgeous car for $2600. Historical, clean, and a TGP. Quote
Penglii Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 That is a gorgeous car for $2600. Historical, clean, and a TGP. Still a gorgeous car for sure... but sadly a mere ghost of it's own former glory... Quote
stockgp Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 i'd still like to know what kenny found out about that car while he was working on it. like jsut asa an example, what the hell are the hoses that go over the radiator support? Quote
Twenty Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I was flipping through that issue a couple of days ago at the bookstore. Still a nice TGP, but it shouldn't have been touched at all. Quote
94 olds vert Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 That TGP would of been worth way more if it was molested. Quote
stockgp Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 That TGP would of been worth way more if it was molested. i wasn't aware sex with a car increased the value. i may have to go stick my penis in bike's tailpipe and see what happens:lol: Quote

Crazy K Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 SHIT! that car was here in Indy??? I would have liked to have seen it... not sure on the hoses, but the radiator and/or intercooler were water cooled, weren't they? Quote
stockgp Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 TGPilot had it. took out the rollcage and put the interior back to stock. hopefully he can chime in Quote
RobertISaar Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 intercooler was air cooled IIRC... Quote
Turbo v-sick Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 Damn, He should have took the 5k I offered him.. What a shame, it WAS a unique car... Quote
White93z34 Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Well in all fairness Kenny was paid and I'm sure well for his "modifications" to the car no matter how controversial. And gotta give the customer what they want and all. That said even if it was in unmolested condition, who are we to kid its still a w-body which means it may as well have negative blue book value. Quote
stockgp Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 I dont think anyone is blaming kenny. I know hes a businessman. I think we just would have like to see it left alone Quote
Euro Posted August 22, 2010 Author Report Posted August 22, 2010 I didn't even know it wasn't Kenny's decision to rip all the shit out. I thought it was his car and he decided to do, not that it was a customer's car? Quote
stockgp Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 no some bought it and had him perform the work. then apparently go tired of it and auctioned it. Quote
ACTdryice Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Does anyone have any interior shots of the pikes peak car with the roll cage in? Quote
