If the wheel has camber problems then elongate the holes in the strut and adjust it... Thats what they are there for... Unless I am missing something major? As you said, that can be taken of with an alignment. This is to change the angle of the control arm to give us a better camber curve because we screw the camber curve up when we lower the car.
