Engine Help Wanted - Toronto

Is there anyone with experience in the Toronto area (I am in Pickering) that would be interested in assisting me with some things on my car? I'd be willing to pay you for your time, as it would save me an enormous shop bill and the frustrations of going it alone. I figure this will all take one day, maybe two depending on any problems. Please reply or PM me.

1992 Grand Prix STE 3.4L DOHC - 196,000km

Things I am in need of doing:

1. Dreaded o-ring leak (not pulling the head; will do the JB Weld or maglite o-ring solution), and as a consequence:

2. Upper and lower intake gaskets, coolant o-ring

3. Fuel injector o-rings since they will be right there anyway

4. Thermostat replacement

4. Any other things uncovered upon pulling the intake (brake booster hose, etc.)

5. I fear I may have cracked my EGR tube as I have tested the connector and several EGR valves that I have and they all work; hence it is not them causing my code 32's. I think this would be easiest to replace with the plenum off (that is if I do decide to do it)

Cheers,

Jeff

Hey man,

I live in Oshawa, theres another guy on here who lives in Oshawa too 91_Lumina_V6.We are trying to organize a w-body meet for Durham region people. I don't think I can help you much because I have a 3.1, but your right you should do everything your self. Try to do the repairs step by step, and don't rush unless you need the car. Get yourself a Haynes/chiltons manual or go to the public library and get yourself a GM service manual, I got one for my car from the McLaughlin library in Oshawa maybe you'll find one in pickering. Good luck, the people on here will be glad to help if you run into problems.
