Im looking into another engine since mine went up in flames.

theres a 3400 for sale and I was wondering if I used my 4t60 (not e) with a pre obd II (93-95) wiring harness, would it plug into my stock firewall plug and engine mounts?

As long as your running a PCM with no trannt control, it's not that bad of an issue.

However, it probably won't be a straight pull into the firewall.

To change that, convert the 3400 SFI to use MPFI from a 3.1L ECM and injectors.

It's been done, many of the Beretta guys are getting away with it.

93-95 ecm/harness isnt gonna work as it has the tranny controls for the e trans.

i'd stick with a 90 harness to be dead sure all your stuff works first time around(dic, gauges) and swap harness/sensors/injectors over to the 3400. saw a cavalier like that the other day, was an 88ish with a 3400 using the stock 2.8 harness and 5 speed.
