npfd
hey The specs, 97 CS 3100, with just over 200k km's. Lately we noticed that from the driver side wheel when making right turns, there was a noise, like a deep rubbing kind of noise, that has two shorter sounds, followed by a longer one. This increases with speed. It did the the same in reverse with the wheels turned right. We changed the front shocks as one of them was finished, and then the noise went away. Could old shocks have anything to do with this? But it seems weird because the noise was rotational. We also checked to see if the bearing was lose, as if its going bad but its not. Any ideas? Thanks, Raj
IRONDOG442
Im gonna go out on a limb here and say it was the shocks that was making the noise.
BXX
I don't recall our cars having shocks! they are struts. And if the noise went away, then problem solved.

shuck
I can confirm that my 97 Cutlass Supreme is making the same noise and the shop said it was the struts. I plan on replacing them this weekend to see if it fixes it. Any suggestions on replacements?
AL
Rent the w-body front strut tool from autozone... They are cartridge style so you will need it
