dylan1630
Alright, thank you all for the information you provided. I found a radio out of an HHR that has satellite radio. It was an 07-09 model. Will this radio fit and work in my 2004 Grand Prix? It looks kind of big but my radio is pretty big too, i thought it might fit but i figure i better find out first
91LuminaEuro
I'm not sure if it will fit or not, but just a note for the future, you don't have to make separate threads like this, you could have kept this all in one thread about your radio instead of having 3 different threads on the same topic. This will please the mods, and help everyone answer your questions when they aren't looking through multiple threads on the same basic topic. I'm sure some one will chime in and answer your question, im assuming your GP is probably a Double Din unit, and the HHR is too. You would just need to see how they mount and maybe make custom brackets. Or they may be a direct swap, as far as fitment though, i think they might. slick
Why do you insist of making multiple threads??? Just keep it in one thread.
Crazy K
Are you aware that many of the new radios are vin locked, meaning you'll have to get a dealer scan tool to set the radio to work in the wrong car?
jeremy
It will physically fi as they both should be double din. You we most likely have to have a dealer unlock it though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Galaxie500XL
I have an '08 HHR, I'm about 95% sure that it would require nlocking in order to work..
dylan1630
i'm sorry everyone i don't know why i started new threads, that was stupid on my part. and i am aware that with any radio i get with the theft lock it will have to be unlocked and programmed to work in my car, but i like gm radios more than after market radios so i'm willing to have that done. do i just take it to the dealer and tell them i need the radio unlocked and programmed to my car? I would call around to dealers and ask first, but they should do it for you. You might not need to go to a dealer, either. A lot of shops can unlock radios, too. jman093
I'm not completely sure, but I don't think they're gonna work because your car's bus system I belive is the old Class 2 Databus and the HHR is gonna be the GMLAN bus. Is is the satellite radio you're wanting? Because that I know will not work. In addition to the radio, there's a separate antenna and a computer module with all its additional wiring harness to make it work.
