stockgp Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 anyone have these on their car? i assume their selling point is corrosion resistance. it's not a big enough preice difference to be worried about any thoughts? Quote
slick Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 That's really the only benefit I could see. Stainless is another good choice, bit more $$ though. And tougher to work with. Quote
stockgp Posted July 3, 2010 Author Report Posted July 3, 2010 I seriously doubt even normal steel brake lines will rust too severely before I get rid of the car. Its goint to be garaghed during the time I have it and only driven in dry weather. I don't know that its worth it. Just something that crossed my mind Quote
douellette Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 the nickel copper ones you can also bend and mold by hand without tools. if you live where theres bad winters its worth getting these. Quote
BXX Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 Yes, the nicop alloy lines are damn near the best thing out there for corrosion resistance. They are also super super super easy to bend and flare. Night and day difference over regualar coated steel lines. Also, stainless steel is a bitch to work with, and extremely hard to flare. A special flaring tool is needed to flare stainless line. Quote
RobertISaar Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 the pressure generated by the braking system won't blow through them? Quote
RobertISaar Posted August 11, 2010 Report Posted August 11, 2010 hmm..... i hear copper and think "wow, those either have to be some thick walls or they'll be weak as shit"... maybe i'll find the time and motivation to do a whole vehicle. Quote
stockgp Posted August 11, 2010 Author Report Posted August 11, 2010 i'm investing. i'm hoping these will help with my flaring suckitude Quote
