H.P.Productions
ok I ran into a problem putting my 3.1 back togeth...one of the nuts used to hold the rockers in place fell and it may have fell into the lifter valleyand into the cam (but we cant fide it so we are scared to finish assembly and turn it over..... so just incase I do F-up so real shit.........I found a 3800 series 2 and 3800 series 1 with equl miles lounging in storage at my dads shop(he didnt even know they whur there) to pay for the extra cost of a new ecm and what not I'll probly sell my newly rebuilt polished and shave heads(actualy better than new and look great) and the set of heavy duty wolverine hydrolic lifters along with the new gasket set I boughte......(think I could fetch enoughe to cover the cost of the swap sence the moter would be free? I would much rather have the TPFI 3800 series 2 with the header style exhaust manifolds..it has coil packs and all the brakets for the alternat stuff... wether I do the swap or not depends on fate it I can finde the nut I'll have a 3.1 with a rebuilt top end and if I cant finde it Ill problly ruin the block and have to swap to the 3800
MaroonRegal
I love my L36. Lots of power down low, adequate power up high. I don't know what you'd have to do for the swap...I don't know anything about it. But you would most likely be happy with the Series II. Hey, why don't you build a turbo setup for it before you put it in the car? That'd kick ass. If I were to turbo an L36 I'd use a larger turbo, so it has to spool, and you get the power later. This project sits in my mind...taunting me... How much boost can an L36 sustain? anyone? Good luck, man. Hope you find/don't find the bolt, depending on which you prefer. H.P.Productions
well no L36 we finaly found the nut....it was just chillin on top of my starter.... I realy wanted the l67 but atleast now I have a rebuilt top end on my 3.1 I got newL: vavles, springs, seals, rings, wolverine lifters, and i'm converting the peuter coolent valve in the intake to a larger aluminum valve(from a suburban so I wont have a problem wit it again.... all thats left is to have intake threaded for the larger coolet vlave, install my lower and upper intakes, put the ecm wire back on, and all the other minor stuff I'ma try and have it cranked before the shop closes tommorow at 7:00 pm instead goin highe performance I think I'ma just make it a nice strip and higheway crusiser Ima get a set of 17"s so I can still have a tire with sidewall and I'm gonna paint it.........maybe interior but thats it

H.P.Productions
I'll try and some after i get it finished tomorrow I ran into some set backs when I took my intake threaded(they used the wrong tread so I had to end up using a defrent coolent fitting but all I got left to do is install:the plenum, valve covers, exauhste manifolds, vacum lines, alternater, and serpentine belt I'ma try and go in at 9 and finish by
