jeremy
My car started having a clicking sound. Seems like it is coming from the area of right front wheel. It is pretty steady until I slow down to 15mph, then it completely stops. Any ideas? thanks Jeremy
tornado_735
Sounds like maybe a CV joint could be getting ready to fail. Does the clicking get any louder when your turn?

RobertISaar
based on clicking alone, a CV is the most likely cause. does it cause any kind of vibration?
tornado_735
In my experience, when a CV is on it's way out, it starts clicking in turns long before you get any noise while going straight. I'm leaning towards a hub or a CV.
jeremy
no vibration at all either.....anyway to troubleshoot to verify it is CV before blindly replacing?
RobertISaar
this is for a 06 GXP, i couldn't remember what year yours was... at the very least, it should maybe point to what is actually causing it. apparently i can't attach anything to posts anymore.... http://robertisaar.co.cc/web_documents/suspension.zip
3pt1lumina
Mine is doing the opposite, it's under 15 mph and it's as you turn the wheels. I would like to know as well... How hard are CV shaft's to do in these cars, (mine is a Lumina) but I'd imagine it's the same?
AWeb80
CV's as cake. and i have one going bad on the honda and it clicks under heavy load at low speeds and NOT in turns.
Night Fury
Jeremy I'd put my money on the hub, but who knows. May be something so simple as a harness against the wheel or something
AL
Make sure there is nothing in your tire like a nail or something too
birdman
could alawys jack the wheel up and shake things around, usually you can feel a bad hub.
Night Fury
Make sure there is nothing in your tire like a nail or something too Good call, could even be a pebble stuck in the tread
jeremy
Good call, could even be a pebble stuck in the tread definitely nothing in the tire
3pt1lumina
Figured mine out... finally had a second person to turn the wheel while I went under there and it's definitely the left strut on my car. I know that doesn't help you so now I'm going to go with a CV shaft for your car.
Night Fury
I personally doubt its the CV but what do I know
tornado_735
You might jack that wheel up, and try spinning the wheel back and forth with the trans in park. I bet you'd get some noise if it was the CV.
jeremy
well, the bearing/hub definitely needs to be replaced because it is humming pretty good now....I am going to look at finding the correct p/n for the CV and the hub as I do think both are two separate issues...
