I can be elite vert owner now?? k,thanks:p

I know posses the 92 Vert of Kens.. Lord help us..lol

Its a project car without a doubt. Today I got off work early, came home right into the garage. Put a new P/S pressure line on it, and installed a new battery. Lucked out and the return isnt leaking so it was just the pressure hose which was pretty easy to replace.

Had to vacuum this mess of a car out like hell.. lord Ken, what did you do to this poor thing:laugh:

And in the process of putting the top down, im pretty sure I broke part of the frame.. Oh well, such is life. I still gotta get ahold of one guy in Mansfield and see what he can do with the top fabric, now the frame, or whatevere else needed to have it 100% working correctly. As much as I hate to do it, I will just let a professional take care of it this fall. I have body work to deal with first anyway and powertrain. Starts and runs ok, but its old and tired.. After I do Andrei's engine swap, this may get a L67, or I may just shove a 3400 in it and call it a day. Not sure yet, just depends on which engine I find first that is clean enough to put in.

And a pic of her good side. Dont ask for a bad side shot, its not pretty. Thats the first priority on the car is doing the passenger side body work and rattlecan blending the paint until I have time to do a full bodywork overhaul

The car is plenty salvagable... Sorry, dont have $4-$5K to go get a mint one outta state with no rust..

Kens patch job on the floor pan will hold for now until that section can be replaced properly.

That patch job will probably last years. I stitch welded that thing solid and good. the roofing tar that you see was to protect it from rust. I would honestly grind clean and tar the underside when you pull the tank out and not worry about it ever again.

The car is fully viable and I included some spare parts and ultimately it can be fixed. A fair evaluation might say that it is not worth being fixed, but, hey, the cost of fixing anything on a first gen W now exceeds the blue book value, so who are you to snivel? His plan is to customize and personalize it anyhow. The body is 99% solid with regards to rust with only one typical hole in the rear quarter(I will weld that sometime if he removes the bumper)... the car is structurally sound and straight front to back, minus the rear quarter, which only needs simple bodywork.

what broke? I'll bring up a top frame for it sometime... I guess you could always leave the top down 24/7 for now... you have a garage, at least...

Yeah, the top will stay down for now. I can get it back up, it was on the right side corner that I think something broke.. i.e. the corner near the windsheild..

Ouch. I ws suspicious of those joints being weak as the looked to be bending... I'll bring the top mech i have once I unbury it. In case I did not mention it. make sure that when the top goes down that the rear glass clears the front well lip and that nothing under the well obstructs it. keyless module is under the top well, and it programs the typical way.
