cubsfan24
Put some UV dye refrigerant in the Regal last week and found were it was leaking. It is leaking from the middle hole of the accumulator. It seems to some kind of sensor because it has a wire harness going to it. I tried to tighten it with pliers but it started leaking really bad. I tightened it some more and it stopped hissing at least. Can anybody tell me what this part is called so I can buy a new one or any advice in stopping the current one from leaking? BXX
Just replace the accumulator, it will come with the pressure sensor. Not to mention, over time the accumulators dont do their job (filter refigerant, pull out moisture of the system) mainly because the dessicant inside them gets used up. They much be replaced if the system ever lost complete pressure or the system has been opened.
cubsfan24
Ya the system ran out of refrigerant over the past two winters. I just refilled it last week so I will let it be for now. If it the system is still leaking I will replace the accumulator when the pressure goes back down. So the sensor comes with the accumulator? I do not see it in any of the pictures.
