hello, iam trying to find a good place to put a trans temp probe in.. is there a good place to do this on my 1993 z34, also what is the "very"small cooler that is hooked to the inside of the radiator?? is it engine oil cooler or transmission oil cooler?? thanks mike

There's a pressure testing port on top of the transaxle just below the top bracket area that most people use when wiring up a trans temp gauge in these cars. I'll see if I can find a picture for you.

As for the thing near the radiator, it should be a trans fluid cooler. The oil cooler on that car should be in between the engine block and the oil filter.

I checked through the service manual quickly looking for a picture/diagram and couldn't come across one. You'll pretty much need to remove the airbox + tubing going to the throttle body to see the area I mentioned. I'll probably take a quick picture of that location on the transaxle and post it here sometime tomorrow for you.

I forgot about taking a picture of that for you, but Al's picture will work. I circled the plug in this picture.
