BXX Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 What good would a vacuum gauge do for ya??? Trans temp seems logical Quote
BXX Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Im pretty sure your supposed to be looking at the road ahead of you!!! Quote
Addicted to eaton Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 you need trans temp. Volt, And BOOST/VAC I have a/f ratio (worthless, 3pod) Volts, (worth while 3 pod) Boost/vac ( LOVE IT 3 pod) Oil press, (Nice to have HUD POD) Oil temp, (VERY VERY Nice to have Hud pod also) trans temp, (Most critical gauge, Center console) scan gauge for KR. Something you dont need. Quote
BXX Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 He has no need for voltage.. his cluster will illum the battery light really quickly when there is an issue. However if it between that and a friggen vacuum gauge then I suppose the voltage is the lesser of two evils. Trans Temp Oil Temp ??? Or just sell the pod and profit??? Quote
jake91 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Report Posted May 19, 2010 i have the full cluster already so i have volt im thinking fuel pres trans temp vac- because i like them Quote
BXX Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Fuel pressure gauges are around $100 or so... Quote
Addicted to eaton Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 fuel pressure.. hummm where could i put one of them LOL Quote
91LuminaEuro Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 great work jake! im jumping into this late, but it looks good!! Quote
BXX Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 autometer autoguage are 45 and is it an isolated type gauge? Ive seen some where the line off the fuel line to the gauge holds fuel directly to the gauge. This is stupid and dangerous should anything go wrong, fuel will be leaking in the interior. And once again, a fuel pressure gauge isnt needed. If you ever think you have a pressure issue, a decent Actron fuel pressure tester would be better and more useful in the future. Quote
jaybaum96 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 im actually using bondo too on my gauge pillar, it looks identical to yours. The only problem im having is deciding if i wanna have it texturized at all to match the other pillar. What kind of primer/paint did you use on yours? Looks good Quote
oldscsc Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Trans temp is a good idea. I think you're crazy if you don't put an oil pressure gauge in there though as the one in the cluster is a fake. Quote

BXX Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Wait, you wont spend money on proper matching quality paint, but un-needed gauges is ok??? Quote
jake91 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Report Posted May 19, 2010 right now i also wanted it painted right now instead of waiting 2 weeks for it to ship Quote
