Dark Ride
As some of you know, I'm swapping to OBDII in my TGP. I saw that for OBDII they started using a Fuel Tank Pressure sensor, what purpose does this serve? Is this only to tell the PCM if the gas cap is off, or does the PCM use this signal for something else?
jman093
It's used to monitor for evap leaks too. It will set a check engine light. The evap montior could probably all be shut off with a tuner, though.

I'm assuming that it's just a variable resistor, is there a certain Ohm Value that I could use to trick the PCM into seeing a correct value, or does fuel tank pressure fluctuate?
