RobertISaar
Isn't that bad for the transmission? I thought you wouldn't want it to just grab instantly. hence the accumulators or PWM operation... it COULD strip the teeth off of something in the trans, i forget what, but that would have to be one rough engagement for that alone to do it. EDIT: if you play with the modulator and settings in the tune, you can get the clutch to be smooth as butter...
jesterx888
Well, after I cut the wire and went to work the first mile on the freeway started out good. 70 mph at about 2000 rpm then it down shifted, up shifted, downshifted again, then stayed in third gear at about 3000 rpm the rest of the way (about 20 miles). When I pulled into the parking lot at work I floored it and the trans slipped bad...Jumped to 5500 rpm and did not pick up any speed. After work I reconnected the wire and the SES light went out and it ran the way it has been. Any other suggestions what to look for? Someone mentioned a speed sensor and someone else I talked to thought these cars had 2 speed sensors...Anyway any input would be appreciated. Thanks
jesterx888
Any other thoughts? I am about to try swapping the modulator since they are only about 15 bucks. Anything else I should check?
