Code 33 and Boost Gauge Freaking Out

I drove the TGP for the first time in forever today and it was throwing a shitfit driving around town... boost gauge was slamming from end to end of its range on steady 1/8th throttle cruising around town at 30 MPH and it kept stalling after starting it. Toward the end of the day, it finally threw a code 33 at me. What is this? I want this fixed so this car can be GONE. I'm sick of it.

welcome to owning a 20 yr old car, the warranty expired before you were born.....

check the vacuum lines around the cruise (close to the turbo) and the vacuum ball.

I've been chasing the boost gauge problem since I bought the car. It seems to have gotten worse since it sat while I was away for college.

The vacuum lines are all good, the HVAC functions all work correctly and the cruise works correctly.

I have a spare MAP sensor around somewhere, maybe I'll try swapping it in. I tried swapping in another MAP a couple years ago and I'm still having issues with the boost gauge acting erratically..

Matt, yes I am older than this car. I realize its getting up there in age and is going to have issues, but I don't have the time to deal with it anymore.

Shaun, I've put quite a bit of work into this car. It was fun while it lasted, but like I said, I don't have the time for it anymore. I really don't drive it anymore either.

I fixed it! I found that someone at some point had cut and crimped the wiring to the MAP sensor connector together with some shitty... I'm not even sure what they were... Anyway, I fixed the wiring and the car runs better than it ever has. Nice low smooth idle, runs incredibly smooth now, and it boosts up and runs like a raped ape. I also found that my Kenny Hot Tune chip had failed while the car was sitting... Oh well, it actually runs pretty damn well on the stock chip right now.

Finally after 3 years of trying to figure out this exact issue (boost gauge freaking out and running rough down low with no SES light or codes) it is finally fixed!

Thanks :) I'm just happy to have it finally running correctly after all the work I've put into it. I forgot how amazing boost feels.
