Redfox340
Fluid up to level? If not, could be a clogged valve body. Do the RPM's run extremely low? Can you shift the tranny to 1st manually? - Erik
cutlsp
yes i can shift down to 1st manually where are the valves and how can i get it un-clogged is there any way to get it fixed with out rebuilding the whole transmission. oh and how hard is it to be replace the oil pan gasket to the motor? any help would be apreciated or would it be better to re build the whole damn motor? its running high rpms not low rpmslike 6000-8000 rpm before shifting. cutlsp
nothing was wrong except the guys at speedy lube over filled the tranny and found they over fill the oil too. :dammit: :cuss: :verymad: i've had it with those incompentent people there now i got 5 car's oil to change when they need changing. i have had enough of this shit where they fuck up my car they also broke one of the fuckin trim peices to it you know the one that runs along the floor by the door panel? don't worry about it cause i'm striping a 1989 cutlass supreme international my 88 wants to be one already has the wheels off it and the ground effects that go with it. cutlsp
i don't need to have it repair the car is fine it just had to much tranny fluid and oil in it i'm going to put all sorts of coolers on it to like a tranny fluid cooler with a electric fan a oil cooler with a electric fan and a power steering cooler. that should help keep my custom built engine thats still getting built running for a long time. my cousin is going to help me out with it to my car is going to be a bad cutlass once i'm done
gmrulz4u
Out of curiosity, just HOW badly was the transmission over-filled? Did you check the tranny dip-stick yourself? How many inches above the FULL mark was it? I ask because I've noticed mine is above the FULL mark and I'm starting to think I should get some taken out to lower the level... THANKS! cutlsp
umm i just drove the car man thats how it spat out the extra tranny fluid so don't worry about it unless your tranny isnt shifting smoothly.
