gp04
I seem to have the worst luck with them. I have destroyed atleast 8 in 5 years. That can't be normal I know but I was wondering if anyone else has that problem with these wider cars.
AL
Do you replace them yourself or have the work done?
oscar_wilde
Do you check and grease them regularly? I see you are from New York, so I am assuming the vehicle hits some bad conditions.
mra32
I had a Timken fail in 50 miles, bought 2 more Timkens for the front and those are fine. I think I just like replacing parts sometimes.
96oldsmobubble
I am getting ready to replace the rears in mine. Ordered one so far from Rockautoparts. I hope I ordered a quality piece:think:
Q-Ball
I've done 2. One on my 2000 Neon, and one on my 99 Regal. Both were the FR Drivers wheel bearing.
Cutlass350
Buy Timkens bearings only from places that you're sure don't have/sell fakes. Like, Rockauto, NAPA, Summitt, etc. Forget the ***** you buy on ebay, regardless of what the seller and part says. Even Microsoft execs couldn't tell the difference between fake Microsoft software (with the laser logo) and the real stuff.

BXX
You can use an impact so long as you check your torque afterwards and dont go over. Spec is 118ftlb
