89oldscutlass
My 89 SL cutty speedo has never been right when your doing 70mph it says 45mph and it wont come out of first gear when you put it into drive. I was wondering if I put a new VSS sensor on the tranny if it would take care of the problem or am I just going to have to replace the tranny. I read in my hanes manual that the VSS sensor not only tells your speedo how fast your going but it also plays a big part in when the tranny knows when to change gears. Any of you tranny guys know or anybody else? Thanks
Robby1870
It tells the TC when to lockup, but not when to shift Robby
89oldscutlass
I know which one your thinking of thats right under your airbox. The vss sensor is on the right side of your tranny and you have to take off your front driver side wheel to get to it.

Yeah, I know where the VSS is, but it does tell the TC when to look up Robby
