wanting to dye my covertible boot cover

sorry for the double post but i put this in the appearance forum and it hardly got looked at. anyway has anyone ever dyed their boot to match the car color

i didnt think it was odd ball. with all the convertible owners and all of the mods they do to them i thought for sure someone had dyed the boot to match the car color

boots are for the most part rare but the majority of us have them, at least for me due to the price to get one, dying seems a little risky, and most of the time they match pretty well. you would have to be damn good to dye it the same color of the car and not make it look like shit, cuz if you end up a different shade it may look pretty bad IMO

how many convertibles (regardless of make/model) have you seen with boots dyed to match the exterior??

My experience with dying anything real flexible like the boot has not been good. If you're deadset on having a boot match your car I would have one made by a trim shop. There's a guy on ebay who makes new ones. Maybee he could match up the color.

what color is it and what color do you want it to be? You might have the best luck with SEM paint, but i still would NOT do it.
