supertrick_05
Ok, so I started to install my new JVC reciever today and I have no friggin clue on how to anchor it to the car! Right now it's just sitting in the dash kit with a plastic nipple on the back of the reciever to go through the hole in the back plastic piece in the dash. There is NOTHING that is holding it in securely. Has anyone had the same issue? How do I achieve this? I can get pictures tomorrow if needed more explanation. Thanks! 89GP_SE
did the deck come with a funny looking metal strap with holes in it.. bolt that to the back of the deck and then screw that metal strap somewhere for security.
supertrick_05
No it did not, but I'm sure I might be able to find it at the local car audio shop.
Addicted2bass
There should be a cage, or sleeve, whatever you want to call it that came on the radio. Slide it off the radio by releasing the two tabs on the side. Now put the cage into your dashkit and push some of the little tabs that are all over it up or down so it holds it into the dashkit. Now slide the radio back in. Done! I hope i explained this okay.
