proper rear brake thickness?

how thick are the rear pads supposed to be on my 97 cutlass? ive looked at them and to me they look thin. but as far as i can tell the wear bar is touching yet.

That should be pretty close.

Yes. However, that is including the metal that the pad material is mated against.

 

If the pad material is near 1/8" or less, I'd be replacing them.
