HUD?

How hard and involved is it to install one. Is my car prewired. And is there a write up or wiring diagrams anywhere.

Yeah Jake, i just did a quick search and found a few things, you should be able to pull up the info you need easily with the search.

okay so did some searching couldnt find what im looking for

 

 

mainly i want to know

 

how long does it take if the car is prewired and how long if not

 

and what guage wire do i need if not

I used 14 gauge when I did mine... Worked fine, took me 3 hours, if prewired, maybe an hour... Just be careful when cutting into the dash

With wiring diagrams, yes, however the cutting of the dash was pretty hard... But I had my buddy help me out with all the wiring so it was easy, just had to pull the gauge cluster out

when you say cutting the dash you mean just the pad or the actual dash enlighten me

Jake, you will need to cut your dash pad.

 

Go look to see if your car is pre wired. Remove the gray trim piece around the gauge cluster and look by your light switch

or by the gauge cluster.

 

If you have it there will be an unused connector that looks like this.

Jake, I have all the parts. HUD dash pad, mounting bracket, etc. No harnesses but if your car is prewired you won't need them.

 

Actually, I haven't looked at the parts in so long that I may have cut short sections of harness. I'll have to check, but I don't remember doing it.
