GrandPrix34
here's a vid of my engine wit the timing belt in place and all.... during idle the engine moves alot! (tell me its the mounts) and there is this horrible noise when i aceelerate at idle and while driving... here's the vid http://home.rgv.rr.com/tjperformance/_movies/Online_1.wmv is it the PS pump or the tming belt? I opened the timing blet inspectino cover and the belt is NOT rubbing the plastic cover (its a Gates belt by the way) all the pulllies were replaced... PaPaPooh
the shishhhhhhhh noise sounds like the steering pump but the one that sounds like some one is blowing there nose (the best way i can describe it) is a w3rd noise i dunno what that could be hope that helps good luck
SmokesGTP
God that things sick but you probably already know that. I think your timing is seriously off. You should really make a scene at that mechanics.
GPRACER
Can you possibly get a stethescope and isolate the noise? I also don't think the engine is properly timed. Without the proper tools to hold the cams in place when timing it's easy to be off a tooth or 2 on the timing. If you had this done professionally hell yeah bring it back, or get the problem fixed somewhere else and try to reclaim your costs somehow.
