so... Since i am stubborn and wont get the right harness for this swap. L67 to 94 Cutlass, So far i have the motor running, gauges working, Fans Working, Basically everything working normally except.... The range selector switch is not reading what gear its in. I now have my fancy OBD2 plug under the hood and working/reading the ECU fine, But on the LSS Harness there was a plug missing for the second range selector switch, i had found it from the interior harness and from mitchel all i need from it is the Trunk release and the ground. So i have it grounded, Now Mitchel also says that from the LSS the range selector switch runs through the Dash Cluster, (which i don't have) and then to the computer. After looking at the GTP ECU diagram is shows pins that read the selector switch right from the ECU where the LSS doesn't. So i re-pinned the ECU plug to match this and wired it to the First range plug, and still no luck..

My questions are.. is there a way to bypass it past the cluster? Can the ECU be flashed to become a different ECU? or what should i do? of course instead of getting a new harness and ECU lol Worse case i guess sill have to invest in these parts, but so far this swap has only cost me time, which here in Niagara falls, this time of year all we have is time lol

Also off topic. i have found that the Harness for the Coil has a loose connection and sometimes prevents the Injectors from opening. Anyone have the same problem? and is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks again

'j

what comp did you use for your swap. i was told to use the harness and pcm from a newer monte w/3800. it makes it easy to swap althogh you stll have to do a little repinning where it bolsters to the fire wall

I really dont know what to tell you... Flashing the PCM might do it but the computer doesnt really know what to do when its repinned... Hope that makes sense

i hear ya on that for sure. im just gonna have to get the proper harness and PCM for this swap... shame tho... spent a week hiding all the wires lol

I used a PCM out of a LSS aswell as the harness. chopped the plug and merged the wires with the old harness... ah well back to the drawing board lol
