Miko K
it still has the series 1 L67, Series II are cheap now, worth the money and time spent.
jtwmechanic
life would be sweet if we could always get what we wanted but this is what i have got. has anyone here done this swap? 95 rivera 3800 sc into 96 olds cutlass supreme w/3100. i have both cars complete, and the wire harness and computer from a 98 monte w/3800. what else will i need. jeremy
life would be sweet if we could always get what we wanted but this is what i have got. has anyone here done this swap? I don't think anyone here has done this particular swap. There isn't enough of a gain to offset the trouble of a swap, which is what everyone here has been trying to tell you. Addicted to eaton
you can make a S1 Just as fast.. slap a m90 on it
GP1138
Sell the whole car and get a SII. There's no reason to install an inferior engine when there's a much improved version available.
jtwmechanic
will a s1 bolt in like an s2 then at least i could drive it until a s2 is available meaning when i can afford it. wiring should be nearly identical. if my persistance over this swap makes anyone upset imagine how mad they will be when an inferior motor blows thier doors off at the track. jeremy
imagine how mad they will be when an inferior motor blows thier doors off at the track. well then.....get to work and get that Series I anchor swapped in there, bring it to the summer meet. I will be more then happy to give you multiple opportunities to "blow the doors" off of my bone stock car ...could even throw a little $ on it if you wanted to make it interesting
digitaloutsider
You are wasting your time with a Series I. You already have OBD-II, just go get a Series-II and be done with it. You cannot bolt the Series II stuff right to the S1. We're not trying to be douchebags, we're telling you there's no reason to do what you're trying to do. You'd get arguably better gains out of a '96-97 LQ1 swap. Wiring is not identical, either. And if you wanna race, take your pick of any of my cars. I understand the head flows worse than a turtle taking a dump. Port and polish the hell out of everything from the intake the exhaust. Get a larger exhaust system and a under drive pulley. WhatTheFehl
Now Rob may want to chime in here... but I'm pretty sure LSSs with the L67 were exceedingly rare.
