94GPGTP Posted February 17, 2010 Report Share Posted February 17, 2010 I need the pulse rate for the speedo for a 90 TGP and a 89 GP LE 2.8 5 spd.. trying to get my speedo corrected to the 5 spd tranny and i dont know the pulse rate.. as of right now im 10 MPH off.. BXX Posted February 17, 2010 Report Share Posted February 17, 2010 I know the signal should be 4000 pulse per mile to the PCM. From there the PCM uses gearing calculations to send a signal to the cluster. RobertISaar Posted February 17, 2010 Report Share Posted February 17, 2010 the later setup used a 4000PPM signal, but thses ones range anywhere from ~40,000 to less... if you can get me the BIN(or at least the BCC) i can try and tell you what the road speed constant and pulse divisor is for both...
