Radnsmash Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Anyone have experience with this brand? Amazon has a good deal right now I can get their "Pro 5R" filter, which from what I've read is their best drop-in replacement, for about $30 bucks flat. Worth it? or should I get the Spectre drop-in for $20 at AutoZone... Quote
Andrew Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 a drop in really isnt going to anything for you anyway, so might as well get the cheaper one. Quote
douellette Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 spectre is a good brand. never heard of the other one. Quote
BXX Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 I had no issues or complaints about my $20 Spectre Quote
intern8tion9l Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 i have afe on my truck, they have really god reviews and it seems to be doing well for me. its the whole intake though Quote
George Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Why do you say a drop-in high perf. filter will not help?, is that by itself or even with a high flow exhaust and chip? Quote
oscar_wilde Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Why do you say a drop-in high perf. filter will not help?, is that by itself or even with a high flow exhaust and chip? The factory intake is not very optimal (for performance). A performance filter will be pointless, it won't do much. I think they are implying just go for a cheap one; it will the same with the factory intake restricting it. Quote
Addicted to eaton Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I had no issues or complaints about my $20 Spectre x2 I love the sound of my m90 out of it over the 9 inch cone. Quote
