douellette Posted February 15, 2010 Author Report Posted February 15, 2010 haha thanks. the sun makes the car look kinda orange though. i used red brake caliper paint to do it lol. Quote
99screaminregal Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 doing that to mine when I get the car repainted. dunno what olds was thinking not body matching that area. Quote
BXX Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 It does look good. But why caliper paint?? You coulda just got duplicolor or whatever to match your paint code. Caliper paint has to get pretty hot a few times though heat cycles until it cures. I wont be suprised if it starts chipping off shortly down the road. Quote
buickman091 Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 looks great! now tint the tails and it'll look even better Quote
douellette Posted February 16, 2010 Author Report Posted February 16, 2010 i used caliper paint cuz thats what i had at my house/left over from doing my calipers. i dont think theres any place near my house that sells the duplicolor equivalent to my color haha Quote
Galaxie500XL Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Actually, Olds painted that panel body color on LQ1 (DOHC) cars. Makes them fairly easy to spot from the rear. doing that to mine when I get the car repainted. dunno what olds was thinking not body matching that area. Quote
