RoyalRegal
I looked up an o2 sensor for my 1993 Regal with the 3800 and it shows a whole bunch of options. OEM replacement shows a heated and non-heated one, both with the same plug.... wtf??!! Dont know which one I need. I'm leading towards a heated one cause Bosch only makes heated ones for my car. Why on earth would Bosch only make a heated one, it must mean that the non-heated one is is incorrect for my application.... atleast that's my thinking. RobertISaar
i wouldn't be using a bosch... and you are correct, the factory O2 is a heated one.
RoyalRegal
i wouldn't be using a bosch... and you are correct, the factory O2 is a heated one. I bought the Bosch from AZ, I havent installed it yet though. The wires are white, white w/black stripe and black. Plug is the same though. OEM colors are purple, yellow and brown. I do realize that OEM is the way to go, but I have put Bosch o2 sensors in some of my previous vehcles and never had any issues.
digitaloutsider
Their plugs suck, but I've had zero problems with my Bosch O2 sensor.
RoyalRegal
Their plugs suck, but I've had zero problems with my Bosch O2 sensor. same here. RoyalRegal
Didnt think that it has one after the cat. it doesn't... exactly what I thought. Anybody know how good Delphi Sensors are? The Bosch cost me $74 with tax and the Delphi costs only $61. I will return the Bosch with a quickness if Delphi is better. RobertISaar
i'd go with NGK if it's cheaper since that's what the ACDelcos are... not sure about delphi.
RoyalRegal
just read on a impala ss forum that Delphi is Delco, same company owned by GM. Either way, Im returning the Bosch and buying the Delphi. Might as well save the $
KingVee
Their plugs suck, but I've had zero problems with my Bosch O2 sensor. For me, the only difference between having a Bosch O2 sensor and not having any was the SES light... Most useless hundred bucks I've ever spent... RoyalRegal
got lazy and just installed the Bosch. Im gonna order it from rockauto and return that one to Autozone. That will save me a grand total of $13 The original came out so damn easy.... Paid $10 for an o2 socket, best money ever spent! Noticed a cracked/rotted vacuum hose while finishing up. Replaced it and now the car runs much smoother
