Crazy K
hey one of my hard lines are leaking its the one that has that bend in it to tuck closer to rad could i use a piece of fuel line and clamps to repair it? no. fuel line will fail. they make..... (drumroll) transmission fluid line! aka transmission cooler hose. might be 3/8ths or 5/16ths. You should completely remove the metal line from the transmission, and remove the pressed fitting holding the original hose on it/ You can then use a flaring tool (availible as a loaner from autozone and advance) to make a bubble flare at the end to the line so the hose will not slip off. I would buy some high quality stainless steel hose clamps at Lowes or Home Depot and double clamp both ends of the replacement piece. consider doing both sides as if one has failed the other will follow. 94 olds vert
Do yours leak all the time? Mine leaks when I start the car, then after that doesn't leak anymore. Mine is also the one right next to the rad. I took it to the shop and they told me $70 dollars to get it fixed.
