#25 Stamper #25 Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 ok my 1990 grand prix with a 3.1 will not go past 3 grand when i am drivn, in park n nuetral it will go past 3 grand, but not if it is jus in drive, if i shift it from each gear it will go past, but when i stop smoke comes from underhood, has a new fuel pump and just replaced head gaskets..has good compression, good fuel pressure..thot it was a tranny problem, but i noticed since it started happening it is useing alot of coolant, n recent oil change show the used oil was a little brown in color..i have heard cracked block or cam?? what you guys think?
