supertrick_05 Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 I'm going to shave all emblems off of the car and get custom decals made in place of them in either gunmetal or flat black. Here are some ideas with different fonts: #1 #2 #3 #4 (#4 is kind of a joke...it's the DeLorean font because John DeLorean did some designing and engineering on the early Grand Prix's in the 60's and 70's, and the Grand Prix "SJ"...the J stands for "John" FYI) So I want opinions as to which one would look best on my car, a '92 GP SE (look in my sig for pic of car). Thanks guys! Quote
mfewtrail Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 #1. Number 2 doesn't look bad either, but it appears the "Pontiac" portion and arrowhead should be centered to one another a bit better. Quote
supertrick_05 Posted February 7, 2010 Author Report Posted February 7, 2010 Oh, no...these are not going in the same order. The "Grand Prix" will be going on the doors and trunk. The arrowhead will be on the front bumper at the stock location. I'm honestly not sure where I'm going to put Pontiac, if at all. Probably just gonna use the "Grand Prix" and the arrowhead. Quote
Z34guy Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 I have to say number 1. Number 2 looks too 1980's, number 3 looks a bit geeky, and number 4 looks too 1970's. Quote

Do "pontiac grand prix" on the back! Quote
supertrick_05 Posted February 7, 2010 Author Report Posted February 7, 2010 Oh yeah, I guess it does say "Pontiac Grand Prix" on the trunk...I thought it only said "Grand Prix". Also, I wonder if the car is a "GT"? They were never badged as GT's though... Quote
3pt1lumina Posted February 7, 2010 Report Posted February 7, 2010 1 or 2... although I looking at them over and over, I like 2 better. Quote

Compnine(see "great site to see how rare your car is" sticky in the General section) the VIN and it should tell you if it's a GT or not. Here's a picture of a GT I snapped a photo of a long time ago. I have other pictures of 91-93 GT's, but none of them are hosted except this one. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y33/mfewtrail/Misc/forsaleGPGT91side.jpg Quote
WhatTheFehl Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Were the GTs the only coupes that got the sedan's flip-flopped tail lights? Quote
mfewtrail Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Were the GTs the only coupes that got the sedan's flip-flopped tail lights? They have the same checkered tails that every coupe of the same year(s) received. Quote
supersniperkilla Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 1. Looks amazing. X3256725eleventybillion309285624958 + 3 1/2 bags of pizza rolls Quote
RobertISaar Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 i like 2... ever looked into the "Dodger" font? it's similar. Quote
Galaxie500XL Posted February 12, 2010 Report Posted February 12, 2010 You might look into finding a font I used once on my LeBaron convertible's parade boot bag my wife made.... She's got an embroidery machine, and wanted to put "LeBaron GTC" on the bag similar to the graphics on the car. The font was found on a "Star Trek" site, and was listed as a "TNG" font.... Looked very nice! Quote
