RZB1992 Posted February 5, 2010 Report Share Posted February 5, 2010 I'm trying to drain the coolant on my 01 Intrigue, and I'm trying to get the radiator drained out... is the little plastic almost bolt looking thing on the driver's side facing the engine the radiator drain valave??? My shop manual shows a pic of it but doesn't say where it is anything like that. Also, do you need a special tool (looks like it's made to fit only a triangular shape tool, or should it be hand tight only, or try pliars??? Sorry for all the stupid questions... Night Fury Posted February 5, 2010 Report Share Posted February 5, 2010 Yes that's the drain cock. Try your hands, it should be finger tight but a lot of times it won't come undone. You can try pliers but try to not fuck it up, its only plastic. The alternative I normally use is to just undo the lower radiator hose from the radiator. Much quicker anyways.
