supertrick_05
My mechanic is replacing the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, wires and upper intake manifold gasket. Anything else that should probably be replaced since all that shit is off the engine? May as well have it done while it's torn apart. I don't have the time or place to work on it right now and I want it running good by the time Spring rolls around. Thanks!

WhatTheFehl
I would replace every gasket and little doodad that is likely to fail, just so you know it's been done.
Andrew
maybe i missed something, but why didnt you do this yourself?
supertrick_05
I have all the parts and gaskets, I just don't have the time or a place to do this, and I want the car running good before Spring. It's too cold to work on it outside. And I don't wanna put too much money into this engine, because I plan on rebuilding the other 3.4 I have in my parts car. I just want this one to last until the other one is rebuilt. Oh, and he checked the timing belt and said it's just fine. There's some vaccum hoses and shit that he said could use a replacing, but I'll do those in the springtime. He said they're not a big deal. Night Fury
distributor drive seal. Is that the o-ring that leaks? If not, replace the o-ring that is known to leak oil!

Galaxie500XL
If he's got it torn down that far, I'd replace the lower intake gasket as well... ...and a new thermostat, since the radiator will be drained down a bit.
