Nick07
Car is a 96 Monte Z34 and I bought a "basic tuned" DHP pcm and I have no complaints. I just want to know exactly what the tune consists of, what they change and what they changed it to. Bought it used from another guy and he wasn't sure either what they do to them
9lumina6
I didnt even know they sold DHP tuned PCMs for the 96 Z-34...but cool. Anyways....basically in a DHP tune (for the L67's anyways) the fueling is changed and richened in certian areas in the powerban. tranny settings are altered a little bit for more firmer shifts. Also, torque management settings are changed around a little......even an off the shelf DHP PCM doesnt change the torque management settings that great....so I changed them even more myself with my DHP powrtuner. The stuff they change on a 96 LQ1 file im sure are quite different than L67's but its the same idea. Hope that kinda helps you some.
90v65speed
DHP is a type of tuner. They use it to modify your stock computer. What exactly was done to the computer I don't know, only the guy who did it could. More than likely they added some additional timing over stock, possibly changed a few fuel table. There is alot of different things you can do, but more than likely if it was on a unmodified car it doesn't have a whole lot done to it. Nick07
I don't know it they sell the pcm's for this Monte or not but the guy I bought it from didn't know much about it either so I know he isn't the one that tuned it. He did say it was specifically for a 96 Monte Z34 (the reason I bought it) so maybe he bought it from someone else with a 96 Z, I haven't got a reply from him yet on how he obtained it
