LIM gaskets, now trans shutters

I had the lower intake gaskets done on my '94 GP, now the trans shutters when it's shifting into overdrive. It didn't do this before the gaskets where replaced. Anyone have any idea's? It's also throwing a code 77, egr solenoid 3 failure.

Clean the intake manifold port from the TB to the EGR. Thats what that code means. I got the same thing a while back.

Check the vacuum line from the modulator on the transmission, all the way back to where it connects. I'll bet they left it disconnected somewhere, or you've now got a vacuum leak at a connection point. The modulator regulates transmission line pressure, disconnected, line pressure is at maximum all the time, which could be the cause of the shudder you're describing

Hope that helps!

I'm not sure if it's a trans sutter or if it's misfiring from the egr. It only happens when I hit about 60-65 mph. The shop that did the work for me said the intake port was clean. I've had this code before, and it was the port being clogged.

I had the exact same issue... my modulator was disconnected at the intake to the modulator itself and the trans would hesitate and shift uber hard and shudder occasionally. AND I have a bad egr. I got the line connected and it helped a ton. Bad egr still makes things a bit nasty but check the modulator line for sure.
