i would but i dont know how

grab some 10 gauge wire, run it into the trunk, hook it up to the battery terminals(vise-grips work great), hook it up to the existing battery cables(more visegrips) and you're done.

 n00b!

10g wire is WAYYY to thin for a BATTERY CABLE thats about 13FEET in length. You need atleast a 4g wire.

i guess the sarcasm wasn't thick enough...

but i did find it interesting that walmart does sell a 10guage jumper wire set

but at that length, i would amlost be considering 0 guage...

Nice! Much better. Do you have a picture of it from underneath inside the wheel well? That's where I had mine, and it was still unbearably dirty all too often. I hope your experience is better than mine.

For the record, I'm running 0/1 gauge wire for the "big 4" in my engine bay.

It looks really well done. It looks so professional. :worshippy:

I was wondering however, why not take the rest of the black plastic tubing out and use aluminum piping? Are there sensors or something in the plastic tubing?

PM me for details. Even with no intake I recommend it, especially with you in a very warm climate.

The intake looks much better!! Since you said you had more pipe, when your able to, replace the stock intake hose with the intake tubing.

What are the other benefits? How would one mount the battery?

Batteries hate HEAT more than cold. And its no suprise that our engine bays are cramped and very hot in the summer.

Mounting it int he trunk stabilizes the temp which will help extend live. Cleans up the engine bay, and helps voltage (I used 1/0 and my voltage was better and more stable! A multimeter proved it too)

Even noticed how Cadillacs with rear seat mounted batteries (Auroras too) that the batteries seem to last forever??

I ditched my spare tire (I have roadside dammit ) and mounted it down there with just a univeral battery tray and hold down from Autozone. I grounded the battery there too. Drilled a hole throught the trunk, ground away the paint for a good connection, and ran a bolt though the battery clamp with a nut on the other side and tightened the hell outta it. Then I spray painted over it to seal it up and resist corrosion.

I agree, Even with a good hacksaw and aluminum tubing, its still a pain. I had to do about 4 cuts to get my intake done the way I wanted and it worked up a sweat  Then again it was a 90 degree day

Looks good! I'd like to mount my battery sideways so I can get a CAI going on. I don't want to do the whole "battery re-locating" crap. If I saw some pictures of cars that have it re-located (engine bay AND the re-located spot), it may sway my mind...

man, you guys need to look into getting some air tools.

comes with free hair conditioning

That's one of the best features!

That and dusting yourself off of metal shavings after some porting work, or sawdust after cutting up wood. I love working with air tools, so long as I have a big enough compressor.
