Chip Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 I am looking for rocker panels to replace or overlay the ones on my 96 regal custom that are rotting bad. (Damn PA salt!) I am not seeing anything available in the aftermarket for this application. Am I not searching well enough. The local GM dealership tells me GM does not make them! Will I have to resort to shaping them out of 22 gauge metal? Any help appreciated. Thanks Quote
BS009 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 The GS versions have plastic rocker panel covers. It's probably a much better idea though to cut off your current rocker panels and weld new ones on. (or maybe just parts of the rocker panel depending on how bad yours is.) Quote

Rocker panels are a structal components of the car. Covering rotted panels with plastic won't accomplish much. Quote
