clutch

[Mach 5]

Need to know what clutch should be used on a Getrag 284 bolted to a turbo 3.1 w/ a 2871 turbo on it. I was told that Spec clutches offers a kit and was recommended a stage 3 be used. Are there any reputable dealers online that I should be ordering this from? I found a bunch of sites which offer a price lower than msrp but some just don't seen legit.

Spec Stage 2 should be plenty good.

With a 2871r I would step up to a spec stage 3. That combo has proven to put down 300+hp and 400+ ft/lbs at the wheels

i have the stage 3. i can't remember for the life of me where i ordered it from. it was some place i'd never heard of before.....

i got mine directly from spec..

 

stage 3 + did 430whp 469wtq on my 01

 

stage 3 did 302 and 409wtq on my 89

Hello, I know I'm new here so please don't slam me too hard , I just ordered a clutch kit from these guys for a buddy ( he has a Z-34, 5-speed)

I got mine here when i did the rebuild. My question is are these good prices or can a guy find them elsewhere cheaper?

I can never understand that just because you're new means that we are going to bash u. We are all learning. Anyways that website has alot of clutch kits for the w-bodys on there. I still might just order through spec just because Im sure you would get a better warrantee of some sort. If you're looking for a cheap clutch I would just get a kit from autozone. Im told centerforce isn't all that great and after some research it seems many guys are running clutches from spec.

I just ordered the fidanza aluminum flywheel from them yesterday actually. I might have to check this place out next time I am in portland.
