idler pully? is that part of the timing belt, or part of the sepentine belt?

okay good my neighbor (a gm technician) told me my knock was an idler pully and i was wondering where it was thank god it isnt in the cams

There are idler pulleys on the t-belt too though... :dunno:

 

i was thinking the same thing.

i KNOW the same thing. i want to say three on the T belt....

shit well hopefully the one my problem is with is on the serpentine. but if not it give me an excuse to do -6/6 cam timing

Run it BRIEFLY without the serp belt on.
