zrothauser Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 I have a 1995 3100 GP coupe. It has dual exhaust and currently the mufflers are rotted out. Someone suggested that I could put a single long narrow muffler behind the cat, and straight pipe the original muffler locations. Has anyone done this? Thoughts or opinions? Quote

I'm sure it can be done, but it will probably be a bit louder. Not that a 3100 sounds bad with louder exhaust though. Quote
MonteCarloChick Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Do you need a cat there where you live? If not, get rid of it and run it straight Quote

19Cutlass94 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 If you delete the cat, youll notice more rasp Quote
sloick Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 if you cut your cat off you will kill the poor people driving behind you. but your car will run alot better. Quote
RobertISaar Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 cut it and if the noise bothers you, run more resonators... VERY low flow restriction. Quote
