Dirty Rockstar Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Hey gang. I have been tossing this idea around since I bought my 2000 Intrigue. I would LOVE driving Bagheera more if he had a five speed. Mechanically, I am sure I can get the shifter in, the transmission bolted, etc. but I have been hung up on axles, intermediate shaft brackets, etc. I'm no stranger to making things go places they were never meant to. I guess I am looking for axle lengths for a factory 2000 Intrigue setup, 282 and 284 axle lengths, what kind of computer programming is necessary, etc. I think right now my biggest hangups are A) how to I add a clutch pedal to a car which was never intended to have it, and Where the hell am I going to find the parts I need? Spline counts and lengths are what I am stuck up on. Baggy would be a hell of a lot more fun to drive if I could mash the gears, throw on a set of 17s or 18s and drop him as low to the ground as I can. Just some thoughts. The Fiero guys can put a Space Shuttle propulsion system in, so I think there is a way for me to mash the gears screaming down the interstate. Quote
CSI_MuNkY Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 You need to PM Kuntzie, he 5 speed swapped his 01 GP GT. There was some custom fabrication required, Matt (GOT2B GM) helped out a bit with that. http://www.w-body.com/forum/index.php?topic=83666.0 Jamie Quote
