I think any sort of a speed nut that fits would work - that's all it is, a speed nut with an acorn hat.

I think this is it: 10067214. The parts diagram isn't real clear, but it's the only thing with description as "NUT, FRT S/D O/S HDL".

thanks dude, i checked GMPD and this seems to be it...They want $2.52 for one nut!!! you think they will settle for a half eaten bag of taco doritos?

I found an old article I wrote about the door handles... that p/n is definitely correct. I forgot I'd put that in the door handle write-up. Anyway, it used to be 58-cents back in the day. I guess inflated parts prices is what happens when your car gets too old and stock starts drying up.
