manual shift knob thread size?

I'm looking into a new shift knob and would like to know what the thread size is for the manual shift knobs. Thanks!

If I can't find any knobs that have the same thread size, i'll just get a knob with set screws. Probably go that route anyways.

you have the 284 which has a flatbar shifter, so you cant swap out knobs.

 

if you switch over to the 282 shifter, its a roundbar with a threaded top.

IIRC, all GPs whether 282 or 284 equipped had the round bar shifter.

Yup, GP's have the round bar, whereas Lumina's and Cutlasses have the flat bar.

Ok...well apparently nobody knows the thread size...guess I'll be looking at a universal one.

the plastic spacer things that come with the universal ones work wonders
